meet our pastor

Born in Newcastle NSW, Chris came to the Lord as a young teenager. It was in those formative years that he first recognized the Lord was calling him to full-time ministry. Chris completed a trade certificate in industry and then attended Christian Life Bible College in New Zealand . He completed his internship in Summer, Christchurch, New Zealand. He then returned to the city where he grew up to take on the position of Youth Pastor at Hamilton AOG, Newcastle NSW. From there he joined Pastor Frank & Hazel Houston to pioneer Sydney Christian Life Centre. In response to the vision ‘Our City & Beyond' Chris was sent out with his family to the Philippines to become missionaries. During that time, Pastor Chris was appointed the Field Leader for the AOG World Missions, Philippines . He served on the National Executive of the Philippine General Council of the Assemblies of God (which at that time had 1500 churches). He was involved in church planting, leadership training and development, relief and development projects for the poor. After returning to Australia he took up a number of roles with Assemblies of God World Missions in Melbourne which included Assistant General Director.
